Educational helpers for Ukrainian families

Training sessions on April 19th and 20th – Region Hannover reactivates project “Welcome Children” to find support for children from Ukraine.


Immediate help upon arrival:

The "Welcome Children (WiKi) - Region Hannover" program accompanies children with a refugee background and their families to gain a foothold in the Hannover Region and to find their way around. The region is currently urgently looking for people (preferably with multilingual/Ukrainian/Russian knowledge) who would like to be trained as family education guides (Fabilos).

The activity is suitable for students and trainees as well as for retirees, in short for everyone who would like to get involved with children and families from Ukraine. The tasks of the Fabilos include, for example, visiting families with WiKi learning sets (in appropriate translations), looking after the children in play groups or providing language support for families in the event of official barriers.

Inform & register

The training courses will take place on Tuesday, April 19, and Wednesday, April 20, in the training rooms of the Hanover region, Peiner Straße 8, 30159 Hanover, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registrations are possible until April 12th.
