OPEN CALL for female musicians-deadline 4th of January 2021

Support especially for female artists

Worldwide Wo+men in Concert is an online concert series and steadily growing network initiated by and for (female)musicians from all over the world. With the financial help of the UNESCO City of Music Hanover, we were able to realize a first series of five online concerts in October/November 2020. Now, we are aiming for the next series in February/March/April 2021.

The participating artists each organize a concert at a place of their choosing, within the possible framework of coronavirus guidelines. The concerts are filmed and broadcasted, reaching an audience worldwide. We will be able to pay a fixed fee for the musicians and the technicians, but we also need the help of the artists and the audience, to spread the word about this project and share the donation link: https://www.betterplace.me/worldwidewomen

If you are musician and want to make part of this movement, you can apply for one of the concert slots by sending your biography and links to pages, videos, recordings etc. to worldwidewomeninconcert@gmail.com. You will get more information about fees etc. as response to your application. Please keep your mail as short as possible :)

We would like to support especially female artists with an innovative approach to pop, jazz or world music, with max. three band members. The only restriction is that you should be born in/actually living in one of those UNESCO Cities of Music listed below.

Please share this post with your network, let know as many artists as possible about this. We will accept applications until the 4th of January. We are looking forward to getting to know you!
